Research & Development

Every innovation results from a process of research, testing and validation.

Research is the starting point. The field is the test.

Originating from a research project at the Politecnico di Milano, ISAAC technology was tested in the laboratory and then applied to real buildings.

Continuous innovation is the driving force behind our research and development in the field of seismic protection, as demonstrated by our patents and the scientific publications authored by our engineers and researchers.

We design state-of-the-art anti-seismic technologies and systems, engineered to be versatile and easily integrated into any structure.

ISAAC’s main aim is to simplify the work of designers and site engineers, whilst ensuring that end customers benefit from maximum efficiency and the highest standards of quality and safety.

Research remains the heart and the soul of the company, enabling us to always be innovative.

Servo-hydraulic seismic protection: validation on a vibration table

Full-scale vibration table tests were carried out on a reinforced concrete building fitted with an innovative servo-hydraulic Active Mass Damper (AMD) for seismic protection. The use of the AMD reduced peak displacements by 72 per cent and absorbed over 60 per cent of the total seismic energy, protecting the structure from damage.

ISAAC’s patented vibration control technologies

Active control

Real-time detection of vibrations affecting the structure, and immediate counteraction and damping of the oscillation.

System and method

Technology and application method protected by ISAAC patents.

Multiple fields of application

ISAAC’s patented solutions are modular and tailored for buildings, infrastructure and towers. Designed to adapt to different contexts, they effectively counteract the forces that threaten the stability of structures.
