What happens when a competence center, dedicated to the digital transformation of businesses \u2014 with a focus on smart manufacturing \u2014, meets an innovative company, determined to revolutionize the field of structural safety?
A synergy is born that combines expertise, know-how, technology, and values to enhance the way we approach the protection of real estate, cultural, and social assets.

This is the scenario of the collaboration between MADE 4.0 and ISAAC, which, in recent weeks, led to extreme condition testing of ISAAC technology at the Wind Tunnel of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano.<\/p>\n

We spoke with Filippo Boschi, Head of Innovation, Industrial Research, and Experimental Development Projects at MADE, to explore the reasons behind the support provided to ISAAC and the goals of this important testing phase, which is strategic for the research and development of our solutions.<\/p>\n

The Role of MADE Competence Center in the ISAAC Project<\/h4>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

Why did MADE4.0 choose to believe and invest in this project with ISAAC? And how did MADE 4.0 contribute to the implementation of the project? <\/strong><\/p>\n

MADE4.0 is a competence center focused on the digital transformation of businesses, particularly in the field of smart manufacturing. The mission of MADE4.0 is to drive digital innovation in both production processes and products. This is the case with the ISAAC project, where MADE4.0 saw a great opportunity to integrate digitalization, expertise, and technology to transform the building infrastructure<\/em> sector \u2014 a topic of growing importance for ensuring greater control and increased safety for buildings and urban areas. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Operational Organization and Wind Tunnel Testing<\/h4>\n

How was the project’s operation planned and organized, from the initial concept to the wind tunnel tests? Were there any unexpected challenges or critical issues along the way? How were they addressed and overcome? <\/strong><\/p>\n

The strength of MADE4.0 lies in providing access to its two main assets: the expertise of its partners and the infrastructure for testing. In this case, MADE4.0 supported the company by involving the specialized expertise of the Politecnico di Milano, primarily focused on developing and testing the logics and algorithms used to monitor and control a building<\/em>\u2019s oscillations. Once the testing and validation phase is completed, MADE4.0 will support ISAAC in the transition from prototype to market-ready product, leveraging its ecosystem to raise awareness <\/em>and disseminate the results. <\/p>\n

This type of collaboration serves as a driver of growth and development through the cross-pollination of resources and expertise: an essential approach to building a safer, smarter, and more resilient future.<\/p>\n
